Deborah Falla - Ejercicio terapeutico para los trastornos de la columna cervical

Los próximos 30 y 31 de octubre de 2010 nos visitará la Doctora Deborah Falla para impartir el curso "Ejercicio terapeutico en los trastornos de la columna cervical". Deborah Falla es actualmente una de las mayores expertas clínicas e investigadoras en el control motor de la columna cervical.

Recibe en 2003 su Doctorado (PhD) en Fisioterapia por la Universidad de Queensland, Australia. En 2005 la International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) y el National Health and Medical Research Council of Australia le otorgan una beca para emprender sus estudios de investigación post doctorado en el Center for Sensory-Motor Interaction, Aalborg University, Dinamarca. Desde 2007 es Profesora Asociada de la Facultad de Ingeniería, Ciencia y Medicina, en el Departamento de Ciencias de la Salud y Tecnología en la Universidad de Aalborg, Dinamarca. Su interés investigador se centra en la integración de la investigación clínica y neurofisiológica a la hora de evaluar el control neuromuscular de la columna en personas con dolor crónico. En este campo recibio el premio Delsys Prize for Electromyography Innovation en 2004. Su interés investigador tambien incluye la investigacion de los mecanismos que sostienen la eficacia del ejercicio terapeútico en la rehabilitación de trastornos dolorosos del cuello.
